Chapter 24 - Origin of Species
In this section we define a "species". Additionally, we will look at the factors that influences the development of new species, or speciation. We will also review micro- and macro-evolution.

Chapter 22 - Part II
We continue our review of evolution by looking the evidences for evolution, including biogeography, fossils, embryological evidence and homologies.

Chapter 22 - Descent with Modification - A Darwinian View of Life
In this section we define what a "Theory" is in science and what "Evolution" is. We discuss the importance of genetic variability and sexual reproduction in evolution. We review the history behind the development of the Evolutionary Theory incoporating the important geologists and biologists involved. Finally, we review the history of Charles Darwin and how his background influenced his understanding of life and evolution.

Chapter 17 - From Gene to Protein
This chapter focuses on protein synthesis. We will introduce the players and learn how a protein is constructed in a cell.

Chapter 16 - DNA Structure
In this lecture we look at the structure and history of DNA. By the time we are done you should fully understand how DNA is constructed and be able to draw a segment of the molecule.

Chapter 14 - Mendel and the Gene Idea
This is a basic introduction to the concept of genetics. We will define those terms used in genetics and understand how to do both monohybrid and dihybrid genetics problems.

Chapter 13 - Meiosis
This chapter takes us through the stages of Meiosis and the outcomes including helping us to understand why the production of haploid cells is necessary for sexual reproduction.
